Hi, Gem! There's a whole bunch of stuff we could dig up for your amusement...the slave pit, the lesbian pit, the huge couch that apparently was used for nothing but kisses and caresses, the WonderTwin Lair (of which the Sanctuary may be an offshoot), the tampon thread (which may have gotten the wheels in Terry's head moving about separating SIP from everything else),...um...let's see....there's been a couple Board Invasions....there was a person who posted briefly who managed to unnerve a few people here with knowledge of the board as a lurker...STP Olympics...realizing one of our own was in the general area of all that sniper stuff...I dunno, so much stuff.
I don't believe I've been confused with being a girl, but I admit there's still some doubt on my part about one or two others. (Lamech's a girl, right???)
Should we go through a whole "who's what" again?

Oh and thanks for all the welcomes. I think somebody asked me how I found out about the board.
I knew about it from years ago, and posted on it a couple of times, but believe it or not, got scared off by all of you. (So erisesoteric is not far off) [img]wink.gif[/img]
I posted a hello post and a bunch of people talked about glomping me, which I didn't know what it meant (and still don't really) but it sounded really gross so I ran away and didn't come back.
Now for some background on me:

I've been a SiP fan for many years, and I have been a member of SiPList for a few years. In fact, right now, I am one of the moderators for the ole original sip fan group. [img]wink.gif[/img] Some of the original posters are still there.
Also, I'm a member of Terry's forum on his web site. (So some of you probably know me).
As for personality, well I guess you'll find out sooner or later. I'm not sure I am as funny as most of you, but I will work on it I promise. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Oh my favorite was when someone thought I was guy. I think that was the highlight of this board for me. *laughs* I wish I could remember who that was. The post by them was fantastic.

I'll tell you about the lurker.
His name was Five and he showed up...I dunno, two or three years ago or so and said he'd been a longtime lurker. He proceeded to demonstrate some knowledge of the board split, the invasions, and a couple other things. I think this put some people on the defensive, having a stranger show up knowing all the history as everyone else. From what I recall, he was somewhat ostracized and I haven't seen him here since.

You should probably take into consideration that several unknown people may be reading what we post- and checking out the photo album- etc..
Case in point- I lurked for a decent amount of time before posting. not cus I'm wierd- just cus I'm skittish.
I got everyone's gender mixed up- and I'm pretty sure I almost bolted a couple of times- but hey..
Now you can't get rid of me.
Suffice to say, this is a fun community. It's too bad if we scared anybody off- Blame it all on Jax.

And I'm RichC, who hung out here all the time until his laptop died. Now I'm stuck on an ancient computer that can't load the forum (it's the ads that cause the computer to crash btw. I don't know what about them, but it crashes everytime an ad starts loading). So now I can only post here when I can sneak a post or two while using my friends computer to balance my checkbook. [img]wink.gif[/img]
I have the oldest screen name on the board, but I'm not the oldest poster (Jax beats me by a month or two).
So I'll pop in every now & then until I finally have enough $$ to get my own computer.
BTW, if anyone misses me I not only have my live journal (see below), but I'm RchMeister on AOLIM and thanks to Miral I'm now on MSN also (search for [email protected]). I certainly miss all of you.

I didn't learn until just now!
Up until this point, I imagined a "glomp" as what Hobbes does to Calvin when he's happy to see him. Kinda like a roll/hug/tackle/splat.

A glomp is all of those. I just consider it a hug that uses your whole body to absorb the other person.. kind of like an amoeba. *smirks* So basically every time I glomp someone here, I'm absorbing them.

anyhow, i remember the lurker, whom i fondly refer to as the stalker. he was posting stuff about us at random moments, and referring to past events from WAY long ago at any given moment as well, but what irked me about him was how he refused to say anything about himself. i don't even think we got an age out of him; we were lucky we even knew he was male. i know this is a public forum, but there are some lines and he crossed them as far as i'm concerned. it'd be no different than some guy moving into my apartment building one day, unknown to me, and then have him suddenly asking me how my cat sebastian's dental appointment went or how my spanish paper was going. STALKER. i'm not comfortable with people like that.
on a related note, go see Phone Booth. that movie epitomizes this point.
HOWEVER, on a less serious note, i'm straight and the only boobs i like are my own. ha! crazy a has been in this frisky midlife crisis stage thing, but he's a harmless teddy bear and we love him. his mind's just been a little more in the gutter lately, that's all. *grin*

Huh. That's kind of extreme. Some people are joiners, some people are observers. Since I'm much more of the observer type myself, I can sympathize with him.
I do find it a little odd that you're still worked up about him so much.
actually, i'm not, not really anyway. i know this sounds weird coming from someone posting on a message forum, but i get a little neurotic about my privacy. it's one of my many weird quirks.
